BASED ON A CENSORED STORY
The Circle of Truth part 1 (The Master and Margarita) was inspired by Michail Boelgakov’s ‘The Master and Margarita’. It’s a Russian novel in which the devil descends to hold up a mirror to mankind, confronting us with inconvenient truths. Originally a censored satire of the Soviet regime, we have reinterpreted it as a critique of today’s post-truth era in Western societies. Its scenes proved effective backdrops to take on big social themes, such as diversity, the impact of social media, fake news, cancel culture, polarization and more
THE MEDIUMS ARE THE MESSAGES
We believe that the truth is multi-faceted and dynamic. How you see the truth, depends on where you are coming from, how you are looking at it and what you want to see. That’s why our piece is partly non-linear, multi-disciplinary by nature and fluid in form. Even if you go with a group of friends, you could end up sharing completely different perspectives in your conversations afterwards. And even if you go for a second time, you could end up having a whole new experience altogether.
